Open-world Terrain/Level Streaming (Unity)

Hello!

Is it possible to or are there tools within Houdini that would help with world streaming?

I am familiar with the concept and I have used some third party plugins to accomplish this in the past. However I recently pulled the trigger on Houdini after seeing all the amazing stuff it could do. And I have seen that there are games that were using Houdini for open world creations, like Ghost Recon and Far Cry.

I am not looking to do a huge project like Ghost Recon but a simple (mostly empty) desert world.


I would really appreciate it if you can point me in the right direction (I am asking for a high level explanation) or share a workflow or tutorial on this matter.
