Hi
I have a problem redeeming my indie license
after installing Houdini 19 I see Houdini license server running in services (please see picture attached)
but when I open the license manager to redeem my license I get a message that no server found running !
when I check the location for Houdini license server I saw it was installed in program files not system32 could that be the problem and why this happens in the first place
any help
thanks!

Hi,
Houdini 19 moved the install location for sesinetd and hserver into a more appropriate installation location from the previous location of System32. The difference in location is unlikely the issue you're running into. H19 also was the first release to start using HTTP from end to end. This usually means if you have a PROXY setup you will need to ensure that your PROXY is set up to work with Houdini. My suggestion would be to email into support and include your hserver and sesinetd log along with including your license diagnostic.
Cheers,
Matt

I'm already in touch with support but still the problem exists we are trying to find out what's wrong
you mentioned if I have a proxy I will have to configure it to work with Houdini do you mean VPN because the problem still exists even when I disconnect my VPN
thanks

Hi,
Apologies I was referring specifically to proxies. VPNs [www.varonis.com] should not affect licensing apart from turning on/off the VPN while licensing is running.

Matt
