Paint fluid mesh by viscosity and "smooth" fluid to surface

So, basically, I have two problems here. First is that I want to detect an actual fluid viscosity in my fluid material. For example, make it less transparent. This is an example:

This is how my FLIP particles actually looks like. And I want to make these edges looks thicker on render.

Another question is that right now my fluid just looks like a honey. I want it to be fused into shape a little. This is a screenshot of actual mesh from editor and the scheme, explaining the problem:



Please, help. If for second problem I have few ideas, first one is completely unclear to me.
