I'd like to always draw some primitives in front of others in the viewport. For example, I'd like to show the bones (not the bones for animation, I mean bone model) in front of the body, for some educational presentations.

In Blender it's called "in front". Is there a similar feature in Houdini?

it's called X-Ray in Houdini
and you can enable it by turning on X-Ray flag on the object (either from RMB/Flags or in Shift+T list view)

Does it only work in OBJ level and there is no way to set X-Ray for some primitives only?

There's the attribute, gl_xray, but it doesn't seem valid as a primitive attribute.
