Bad topology with polyextrude and tube like shapes

How can I extrude tubular shapes without bad topology, if the extrude divisions > 1? What is the correct way to do this?

Hey AndreG,
looks like it is buggy. You should sign a BUG report.
edit: but setting Interpolation to Linear solves the issue. So I don't know if this is intended.
