Hello people,

I'm messing around with the Labs Building from Patterns and it seems to only work on cubes? Or at least it doesn't work on a flat grid, but if I poly extrude the grid the modules start showing up. I've also tried to use the group parameter to assign specific patterns to specific sides of a cube, but it doesn't seem to do much.
Does anyone know of a way to either modify the Labs tool to work on certain sides of a cube, or just a grid, or of any other way to achieve a similar result?

Many thanks

Simon Verstraete talks about the Building From Patterns node in this video [www.youtube.com], I recommend watching it. The generator is based off generating from "block out" geometry, which needs to be a volume (read: not 2D). "Patterns" refers to the use of Shape Grammar to place modules along each facade of the building based on the side length.
