Have you by chance heard back from Sidefx regarding whether they plan to incorporate it? This would be very, very cool. I mean, in-app access to its C++ SDK? That's be a first I think, and it's just super powerful.

AFAIK no, but SESI knows best. I also would like to have this as a built-in tool so your best bet is to submit an RFE and ask them to add this SOP/functionality into Houdini by default.

SESI did a lot so I am sure they could do this too if they wanted.

I have an RFE from 9 years ago at the time of the creation of this node: #36356. Please bump it up so SESI can add this to H21

Implementing this would require shipping Houdini with C++ compilers, which may be one reason it's still missing, but I think it's absolutely worth it.

You still need to install the right version of MSVC and the Windows SDK (on Windows, for example), so it's not exactly plug-and-play.

I think Vex and OpenCL are still a better option, the peoples who want advanced controls can setup inlinecpp.
But anyways, it is great, and I hope it will be added!
