Anybody knows how to open several hip files at the same time on a mac.
Now everytime I want to open another hip file I have to close the one I'm working on so the other one can open in the same houdini window.

Basically in order to have multiple instances of Houdini/hip files open on OS X you need to launch Houdini from the console. If you run the Houdini Shell.terminal you can launch as many instances of Houdini and therefor open as many hip files as you want at the same time.
