Hi guys,
I want the background image be visible in the object's refraction, so I add my desired image to a "Background Plate" LOP, and to my camera background Image file tab too, but it doesn't work!
How can I fix it?
Thanks for helping.

Technical Discussion » Karma Physical Sky horizon height issue

Hi guys,
I need to change the Karma Physical Sky's horizon height. When I increase the horizon blurness, the horizon line goes down below my ground geometry.
We can adjust the horizon level(height) in the Redshift render engine(Physical Sun).
Is it possible in the Karma, too?
Thanks for helping

Hi guys,
I have an issue with the Karma Physical Sky. When I set the "Solar Altitude" below zero:
1)The sky should become "blue", but Karma always shows a warm color(red).
2)The sun should go below the "ground" plane and fade into the dark.
Isn't it a bug?
Thanks for helping.

Technical Discussion » Polygon curve to Bezier curve convert issue..!

Hi guys,
In a curve SOP, I created a "Polygon Curve" and I turned the "Reinterpret Curves as Current Type and Order" on.
Now, when I change the primitive type option to the "Bezier Curve", it changes the shape of the curve which is not what I need. I want it keep the shape while it convert the curve to the Bezier one.
How can I fix it?
Thanks for helping.

Hi guys,
In the Solaris viewport, when I use hotkeys like "Spacebar + G", "Spacebar + F" or "Spacebar + A", it should be home all (or Home selected) but each time it zooms out the scene, one more step!
Is this a bug?
Thanks for helping.

cncverkstadNo, I mean all close and open curves...
if you mean a Closed Surface you have Files on Odforce with Otl's. No Boolean.

Thanks you guys,
So you mean that we haven't a simple tool like "Terrain" modifier in the 3ds max, right?

Hi guys,
Please take a look at my hip file. The questions is, in a simple L_System SOP, how can I scale down the branches on each iteration.
Thanks for helping.

The main problem is it copies a relative path when referencing, but if I find a way to change it to an absolute path, the problem would be solved.

Hi guys,
A reference copy of a node works fine in the same network area, but it doesn't when I cut and paste it into another node.
For example, I have 3 material builders, and I would like to paste a reference copy of shaders into my other materials.
How can I fix it?
Thanks for helping.

Technical Discussion » Is it any way to mimic the VIPER dynamic using vellum?

Hi guys,
Compared to the PBD, there is an extended position-based system called VIPER (Volume Invariant Position-based Elastic Rods)that includes Posiion, Orientaion, and Scale, which I think we need exactly the same possibility in the SideFX Houdini. The result is amazing. You can watch its benefits in the link below:

Is it any way to mimic the same particle behavior using vellum/FEM?
Thanks.

Technical Discussion » Is it possible to assign random pscale to fluid particles?

Hi guys
In a fluid simulation, I would like to create soap foam (as you can see in the reference image below).
I don't know if it's the right workflow, but I tried to apply a random "pscale" attribute to the particles, and the result was not what I needed. (I don't want to use the Vellum, because I would like to use this part of a fluid sim, later).
How can I fix it?
I would appreciate any ideas.
