Hey everyone! I haven't had as much time as I did last year so putting out a daily entry hasn't been possible, but, I wanted to make at least one memorable piece. I've been working on this in my spare time for the last week (sorry if that makes it ineligible). Modelled in Houdini, rigged with KineFX, wings done with vellum and rendered in Redshift.

I didn't ever think the end would feel so somber. This has been one of the best developmental months of my life. I appreciate everyone who was involved in this - the staff for putting it together, the entrants for the competitive spirit, the people who supported me for staving off my breakdowns. This was great. Thank you all.

My final entry looks back on my most well received entries this month. I hope you enjoy and I hope to see everyone here for the next contest!

Spent the day minding my own bismuth. All procedural. Custom growth solver to get squared fractals. Camera normal based shader for iridescence. Also, bismuth is cool.

Hey! Day 21 complete. This one was by far the most labor intensive. Each element individually or procedurally generated in Houdini. Nothing particularly complex, just a lot of small pieces to it. This is now my favorite entry, hope you like it too!

Initially had a 40 million particle nebula dust cloud. Realized my CPU smells like marshmallows when its on fire. Used pyro.

Hey, Day 18 was interesting. I took the Houdini Simple Rigged Male and used the hand rig to deform bones and muscle. Created a procedural muscle tool to connect bones together, with controls for whether it is connective tissue or muscle. Will probably revisit this setup. It has potential to be pretty cool
