OK I came across the solution.
A SOP solver pointing to the “ConstraintGeometry” instead of “Geometry” did the trick. Was it mentioned somewhere? I did not find anything..Thanks Tim van Helsdingen for mentioning this in this video!

HEy Masoud,
as the Game Dev Tools are free, I suppose the RC-Plugin is free, too. You need a RC license to run it, true. I assumed you have a valid license, as you were able to export an XYZ file. You could try a XYZRGB format and use “Cloud Compare” (https://www.danielgm.net/cc/) (Open Source software) to convert it to. The PLY format theoretically also supports color..you might give that a try..
Cheers,
oliver

Maybe this might help?

Houdini also allows to import of pointclouts vie the “LIDAR IMPORT” sop. It can import e57 and LAS formats..

We're happy to announce that the Reality Capture plugin is ready for testing. It’s still under the beta label for the time being, but we would love to hear your feedback.
The plugin allows you to run Reality Capture processes from within Houdini in order to streamline your pipeline. It is designed to take multiple images as input, and generate high resolutions models as the output, which can then be ran through Houdini's mesh pipeline. It is not designed to be a complete replacement of every feature in RC, but the ones that fit well in a Houdini pipeline.
Reality Capture is a state-of-the-art all-in-one photogrammetry software solution which automatically extracts beautiful and accurate 3D models from a set of ordinary images and / or laser-scans.
Houdini also allows to import of pointclouts vie the “LIDAR IMPORT” sop. It can import e57 and LAS formats..
Cheers,
oliver

Hey there,
I know the question was already here in different flavors. Adding glue constraints during animation works fine, so that cloth patches stick together like expected. I tried many things already, but I did not find a way to “unglue” or “remove” those constraints in a controlled way, maybe per point attribute, grouping, color or whatever.
I think the problem is, that accessing the constrain network “below” the cloth mesh is the problem. Certain data seems not be transfered to the constraint geo. Only a total removal of all constraints via lowering the threshold works. Any ideas?
thanks and cheers,
Oliver

Hi there,
this is a little walk trough of a setup I´ve build for a visualization project both in XSI and in Houdini using a similar approach and more or less similar tools. Nothing fancy though, but maybe useful. The setup is based on a bend-deformed grid and instantiated geometry on particles.
Cheers,

Hi there!
I just want to say hello! My name is Oliver Weingarten and I am a long time SI user for over 16 years now. I am quite active in the ll around SI running the si-community and organizing the SOFTIMAGE|UeberTage event you might have heard of.
As my focus got more and more into VFX over the last couple of years, mostly due to the fact that something like ICE exists, which enabled me to stuff I never thought to achieve in a 3D package. As evil AD now killed my beloved software platform, it is time to get my hands dirt with stuff that feels like to step forward instead of heading backward. Houdini to me feels like the only place to go since the days of ICE will be counted in the next couple of years. I will still use it, but wrapping my head around Houdini is something I will tackle in the next couple of month/years.
Watching tut and digging through Jordi´s guide showed me the wast number of possibilities of Houdini. To get it sorted out and understanding when and why is the big challenge, though.
A big, big thanks to Jordi for making these great guides! Great work, man! It helps a lot to see similarities and differences between SI and Houdini.
Looking forward to discuss things and how Houdini might get a little less complicated and better streamlined in the future..would be great to see this package getting even better and better. And I also want to mention my great respect for the people developing this awesome piece of software. Congrats, guys!!
That´s it for now and have a great day!
cheers,
oli
