thanks ragupasta … yes i think so too. however the agency has already sold the concept to the client : ) and now don't want to reduce the duration. am sure once when the client sees the animation, they will think on the similar lines …

have worked out yet another logo formation. its about blocks forming a sphere and in the process creating some interesting designs. Finally the sphere falls and breaks (worked out till here) and revels/ leaves behind the logo(still to be done).

hi i have created a particle fluid object and wanted to export it to max where i can work n the shader and renders.. I baked the simulation as bgeo's and then exported that as a FBX file. However after importing this fbx in max i notice that the polys are all detached(the vertices are not welded) and hence a mesh or a turbo smooth cannot be applied. any clue as to how i can solve this issue.

hi…. i am facing a peculiar problem while working on cloth sim. i take a grid make it a cloth object… constrain the corners and it works fine..now as soon as i introduce a static object (sphere) for collision .. the cloth obj does not simulate… when clicked on the ‘clothsolver’ it shows an error. any clue as to what could be going wrong?

thanks allegro .. that feedback does help … i too think that the animation could be a lil faster.
I have done a few more things with the text and the full settlement of the text as well … could check the new link and tell me whether there still the need of blendshapes in your opinion.

i am honestly very surprised to get a example file. It really helps in learning quicker….this is simply beautiful
Also, am unable to check the file at the moment on my laptop, will do it as the first thing in the morning on monday from work.

hi .. i have been trying to work out a tyre burn out simulation using pyro effects. what i am struggling with is the circular motion i need to give the smoke as the tyre starts rotating. I need a force field which work like the ‘vortex’ force in 3dmax…

Houdini Lounge » fbx (camera) import issues from max

hello … i have been facing some problem with importing fbx into houdini. Animation has been done in max and the entire scene (geometry and cam) then exported as fbx (version 200608) from max. Now the object animation seems to be exported well but the camera animation has gone a bit offset. Anyone faced with similar situation?
