Was there a fix for this issue? Currently any fbx I export from Houdini to Unity is importing black.

I updated my Game Dev Toolset to 1.64 and this seemed to fix the problem I was having.

I have a basic setup to get my LODs into Unreal. It just has two objects. When I select Export I get an error. Has anyone encountered this error before?

Not sure what happened. I deleted the HDA from my Hierarchy and reloaded the HDA in the scene and it stopped duplicating. Not sure what happened, it just works now.

Using Engine 16.5.487 and when I click Reload Asset, it causes the geometry to duplicate. I tried it with two different assets. Is anyone else have this problem with the new version?

Looks great! I liked using Kristinka for Softimage. Looking forward to checking this out when it comes over to Houdini. I always liked the control with the Softimage version.

Modeling is a bit different in Houdini versus the other programs. It can be accomplished just have to think about it differently at times. This video gives a nice explanation of symmetry modeling.

Here is a video on Vimeo going over L-Systems. No talking since it was a stream. There are some links in the about section that may help. When I starting learning L-Systems I just started with the basics and then explored from there. Not much more out there for L-Systems as far as tutorials other than those links, cmiVfx and digital tutors. I am not sure of specific tutorials, good luck.

I had better results with a line between two points than L-Systems. I couldn't control the lightning with L-Systems too much.

Use a ‘Skin’ SOP. You can identify which curves are U and V. It works on Nurbs and Polygon curves.
