Karma Attenuation filter workflow

Hi!

I have a bunch of rectangle lights illuminating karma atmosphere volume. When camera is looking at lights I can clearly see their sources illuminating the volume. In Arnold I used to just apply decay light filter and enable near decay to cut illumination close to the light source. I am trying to achieve that with Attenuation light filter and Ramp Style seems to allow for that but by default it changes light intensity making it really difficult to preserve the look.

Does anyone have a better workflow to achieve that?
