Hi!
I'm modeling a mycelium using an L-system (see attached scene). When it reaches a certain generation I want it to start “dying” from the centre as in the attached image, while still growing outwards.
I've tried to use the delete SOP in different ways but can't really make it work.
Some input would be great!
Thanks, Fredrik
Help with L-system mycelium model

Heya Fr3drik,
Peter's suggestion will work great, but I thought i'd throw another option out there.
If you intend to render to your lsystem as curves (with a width attribute), you could also create another piece of geometry with a width attribute of 0, and attribtransfer your width attribute to your cell geometry – as you xform your geometry up (giving the illusion of decay from the center).
Best,
G
