Hi! I'm new here. For last few days I have bee learning procedural modeling in Houdini. First problem i have (as a ex-user of 3ds max) is a sweep modifier. I would like to create a mesh form two curves as it can be done in 3ds max. I mean one shape is a curve (profile for example), that I would like to stretch along the second shape (line). I found a sweep tutorial on the website, but it shows only how to do it with a circle. Is custom shape availible? Thanks for help in advance!

hi and welcome ,
the Sweep SOP has three inputs ; first two are there just to fullfill what you want to do . The third one is optional and has to do mostly with orienting of the profile . so you can use any shape you like ..
have a look here : http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini11.1/nodes/sop/sweep [sidefx.com] .
there are a lot of examples at the bottom of that page . Just hit Load and the example will load inside your actual scene without interferring with your actual contents there .
have fun !
