Hello guys,
A quick question. I am working with a large simulation and I often jump around the animation to change keyframes and settings. Houdini tries to cook the scene everytime I change frame and I often cancel this ramming the ESC key. Is there a way to turn this feauture off and have the scene cooking only when I press play?

On your bottom right corner you should see three icons next to eachother , if you press the middle one it will disable cooking (simulation) too bad I dont have Houdini installed yet otherwise I could have make a screenshot.

I hope this is what you are looking for!

Bottom right corner, there is a menu drop down saying “auto update”, change this to “manual”. Now nothing at all in any context will cook, until you change it back.
