I made the mistake of creating an untested OTL and saving it to my $HIP library so it shows up each time I open up Houdini. I want to start from scratch – remove the custom op entirely and create a new one with the same name.
I did this thinking the new OP would overwrite the old one, but now I have two ops with the same name! Doh! Supposedly I saved the first one out to the default file:
OPcustom.otl
I did a search for *.otl and couldnt find anything called OPcustom.
Any of you know a good way to remove these things?

Hey the_squid,
Put down a “untested Digital Asset” OP, RMB & select “Operator Type Manager…”. In the dialog, the Digital Asset should be highlighted so you can just type “Del” to remove it from the OPlibraries file.
I would recommend making a copy of the “otls” directory in your $HOME/houdini7 first before trying out the above. Please let us know how it goes.
Cheers!
