Hello,
I´m trying to figure it out how to deform an Alembic object into 0,0,0 and apply the transformation imported after those deformations.
To do that I´m using “Transform Geometry To World Space” unchecked from the Alembic Node (inside SOP) to get the object in 0,0,0. Once I did that my idea is parent that to an Alembic XForm node to apply the world transformation from the ABC but I´m not finding any way and neither information about how to do it.
I´m new with the workflow with Alembic Files, sorry if the information is not as complete as expected. Thanks in advance.

Same here.
We basically want to bring an *.abc file from maya into Houdini. Bringing it to the origin avoiding any transforms within its parents (maya groups). This step is easy just using “Transform Geometry To World Space” when loading it.
But then comes the tricky step, publishing that alembic back to maya with its original hierarchy AND its TRANSFORMS on the different ‘maya groups’. Which is the step where Im stuck right now …
Any hints on this will be highly appreciate.
