Hello.

There's quite scarce info on filling a glass on Houdini. Can anyone provide a general workflow? I'm a newbie of course.

I tried to import my glass shell and fill it with an emitter. So far, i have 0 results. I tried to import the model with normals directed inside, and with normals directed outside. I made a collision ground plane, placed my glass model on it and assigned RBD Object to it. Also i made a sphere to emit above it. Every time i start the simulation, the glass get's kicked by the liquid and moves a little from it's point(even though, the sphere is positioned on the center top, so it should go directly in) and only half of the liquid drops in, but it doesn't seems to get filled. I believe this is the standard workflow, in any software that does particles, but i don't seem to be able to make it work in Houdini. Do the object have to be connected between them trough some kind of network? Where do i set the parameter and type for the glass object regarding the interaction with the particles, like in real-flow?!

anyone knows a tutorial on this subject? Please help! Thank you!

For the love of god! why is so difficult to make a simple simm? I see demos of magic and wizardry made in houdini, but i can't find a simple tutorial on how to fill a simple glass. I don't understand. It's like the secret of coco-cola, filling a dam glass with liquid in houdini.

Hey Gigel, did a quick test and the glass fills as expected.

One thing I notice is that particle separation has to be low enough or it doesn't accumulate. Maybe that's your problem?

Hope that helps!
