Hoping I might have some luck here as well.

Long time lurker, new to posting. I'd like to start a thread on flip simulation flicker caused by reseeding.
I've watched the fluid solvers from scratch masterclass but it didn't really touch on reseeding. Most forum posts on flip simulation flicker simply instruct you to “turn off reseeding” which is not really solving the issue so I'd like to dig into it a bit further.

My understanding of this node is very basic and only from what I've been able to find digging around the flip solver so please correct me where I misunderstand this node.

It seems this Gas Seed Markers is responsible for the flicker / popping in simulations that need reseeding to keep their particle counts in check when using emitters.

My suspicion is that this node is deleting all points within an overpopulated voxel. The solver progresses the simulation and this node refills an unclosed void that, in the next frame, is identified as an underpopulated voxel. Unfortunately I'm having trouble confirming this behavior.

I would like to better understand how this node works but I'm having trouble getting it to function outside the context of the flipsolver as it has requirements from a slice index that I don't entirely understand.

If anyone can help me better understand how this node works or has an example file of this node functioning outside the context of a flip solver and simply adds points to the Geometry data using an SDF I would very much appreciate it.
