Hey I have a number of points, and they all have an attribute called groupNumber.
Say point 1,3,5,6,7,8,9 and 22 all have groupNumber 1
and points 0,2,4,10,13 have groupNumber 0
Is there a way that I can run all these points through a skin sop and have the skin sop work on the two groups seperately. I do not want to have to duplicate my network, because there may be a 1000 different groups….0-1000 groupNumbers - I need some kind of way to make the skin work on them group by group so the points in two different groups are not connected…
Hope some one has an answer or idea….

I'm sorry this won't be helpful to you now, but when you get the new Houdini 6.0 beta, you might find this interesting:
Houdini 6.0 has a new Partition SOP that can be used to group out points or primitives based on their attributes. Once you get Houdini 6.0, you can group all the points whose “groupNumber” is different into a different Houdini groups and use them for the Skin.
