we are preety new to Houdini, but use it in conjunction with Blender in our pipeline for the purpose of scientific visualization. We would like to visualize a brain DTI tractography dataset, showing the white matter fiber tracts to display long range connections between neurons. We can load the data as splines in Blender, but porting it to Houdini/Arnold is challenging: the only way to properly export splines from Blender is as a mesh, consisting of ribbons of quads with FBX or ABC.
Is there a way to convert these quad ribbons into curves, which could then be rendered with Arnold?
Thanks in advance for any tips!
