hello, hope you're all well, was wondering if someone could please offer guidance for lava fx. My project focuses on a volcano erupting. My reference is the kratatoa 2018 eruption. I am following Ben Watt's vimeo tutorial on ‘how to lava like a boss’, https://vimeo.com/126886471 [vimeo.com] I have created the test simulation but I am stuck on the shader side of things. I created an attribute vop in the lava mesh where I bind imported the temp attribute to try to make it drive the emission of the mesh. I can see this working in the viewport but I am not sure how to connect this to the material side of Houdini. Ben watts uses a shop network to build this. I have to tried to follow this in materials, but it doesn’t work and my renders appear white. Does anyone know how I can fix this, if theres a better method than what I did, or where I went wrong? Please let me know if I didn’t explain anything clearly, I have attached my hip file, thank you for your time!
