Hello,

I'm struggling with file sizes.
Houdini seems to blow up FBX sizes.
If I lay down a file sop, load 89MB mesh, then export as FBX - everything set to default, the mesh comes out 556MB.

What's going on?

Are you using Instancing or copying to points? Are you subdividing? Also, are you using the ASCII compatible export? If so…turn it off since it will increase the size.

It's the ASCII export, I didn't realize it was on by default.
