So i got this error in the middle of caching a animation that converts a polygon to a VDB distance field with voxel size of 0.005. The caching manage to get to 20 frames and then this error comes in. My system use intel core i9 9900K and 64 GB of ram. I am using “ROP Geo Outout” node to cache the volume to my HDD by using the “.bgeo.sc” extension. Weird thing is that when i monitored how my system handles the caching process (by using task manager) my ram never went above 57 GB of usage. Any ideas how i could solve this?

Thank you!

Usually the only way to address this is to go wtih a lower-rez sim, but you probably already knew that. You might get a performance boost by removing un-needed fields, but it sounds like you only have density.

You could also use hqueue to batch it in five or ten frame chunks so it breaks up the job for you and starts a new hrender process for each chunk before it runs out of memory.
