Hi,
I'm very new to Houdini, and I'm testing it ...
I want it to render real topographic zones ... the topography is passed to me by the engineers, in a proper format, ASC, I think it has a definition of xyz points ... I'm not really sure. At the moment I am using Blender, which allows the creation of the terrain from this format ... But I want to see if with Houdini, I can do this type of work more efficiently, since they tend to be large surfaces, with meshes of about 5 million quads that are very difficult to handle.
The question is:
- Can you tell me a video or tutorial where this workflow is explained ... From ASC files (Gridded ASCII files), generate the geometry?
I imagine that this information will be in one of the videos on the web ... but at the moment, I am only interested in this.
Thanks in advance
