Hi, recntly houdini started to show "NO DC" text in the upper left corner of some windows. I didn't find anything about an issue like this and i'm not sure what it even means. I suspect recent windows update because previously unaffected version ( 499 ) started showing those labels after installing some updates.

I'm using Windows 10 Version 20H2 ( OS Build 19042.928 ) and Houdini 18.5.499py3 and 18.5.532py3. My indie license appears to be working correctly.

Anyone knows anything about this?

Looks like it's not houdini related but nvidia related and may show up in multiple programs. Once i stopped limiting my searches to houdini few answers popped out. All of them quite recent, two solutions I found are:

1. Navigate `C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\Drs` and delete `nvdrssel.bin`. Something probably modified the file recently, windows update? Malware? No clue. This is the solution I used and so far it works.

2. The other solution is to open NVIDIA Control Panel, navigate to `Manage 3D settings` and clicking on `Restore`. Didn't try this one out myself.

If anyone knows more let me know.

I can confirm that 'Restore' option in NVIDIA Control Panel has fixed this issue. Thank you.
