I am trying to build a tool and would like to detect whether a key (e.g. shift key) or mouse button is currently pressed. This will be integrated with frame processing so I don't think that a key press event handler will work. That is, during each frame I would like to know if the key is pressed or not. It would be great if the state could be tied to a detail attribute.

I am a bit of a newb so was not aware of the Keyboard Chop.
Not exactly what I wanted (doesn't know about Shift key) but basically what I was looking for.
