Houdini freezes: how to issue a bug report?

Sometimes my Houdini just stops responding and I have to kill it. By "sometimes" I mean several times a day. I'd like to issue a bug report, but I really don't know how:

1. It doesn't crash, just hangs forever. So there is no crash log.
2. There is no reproducing step either. It's random. Sometimes it freezes when I change a texture. Or change from Karam to GL. Even adding a UV projection node can freeze Houdini. But after I kill it and retry, things work again.

It's not a showstopper... or it is? If there is a specific feature that causes the problem I can work around it. But I really don't know how to use software that freezes almost hourly. It's indeed frozen, not just running slow. (I make sure to wait 5 minutes before killing it every time)

I was just following the official tutorial so my scene is small enough. I have 32GB of RAM, and I barely have issues in Blender (while dealing with much bigger scenes), so I don't think the hardware is the problem.

Sorry if it sounds like a rant, but I need help and I don't even know how to ask for it. In the past week, I've tried both Studio and Game Ready drivers and two versions of Houdini (19.0.383, .444), but the problem persists.

I wish you best luck. My experience is that after 3 years the situation hasn't improved much.
