Hello,
i would like the result of a vellum solver which is animated and whos geo changes to be the collision of another vellum solver..
I have tried using a dopnet (adding a static object deforming geo) aswell as a sop sollution, but i just cannot get any descent results.. the vellum objects just kinda explode as soon as the collide with the animated geo..
many thanks for your help.
How to have a vellum collision with live/changing geometry?

Exploding collisions are a result of a simulation condition that cannot converge. Usually it has to do with the way your collision geometry is being represented by Houdini. Or a setting in your vellum configuration that is set wrong. Or substeps that are too low.
You can check the collision geo by turning on the visualizer in the SOP solver or selecting "Show Guide Geometry" in the static object SOP.
You can sometimes diagnose bad settings by trying various visualizers in the SOP solver.
But usually its a problem with the collision representation.
Post a hip file and it would be easier to say for sure.
