Hi everybody,
I'm rendering a simple sphere with a PrincipledShader and a number of maps exported from Substance Designer - see attached image. It mostly works but when the Normal Map is enabled, a faceting effect becomes visible, especially in the green areas but also elsewhere if you look for it.
The normal map itself does not seem to have a faceting pattern and rendering the sphere without the shader shows no faceting.
Any idea where the problem might be?

Meanwhile, I managed to significantly reduce or eliminate the problem by raising the Raytracing Bias from 0.001 to 0.2. I'm not sure what consequences this has for everything else, but it seems to work. Kudos to this thread that provided the solution:
