Hi all.

Is there any way to drive the position of bones using vellum? For example a cape rigged with bones and simulated with vellum to produce some believable positions for the bones over the course of the animation.

Alternatively, if anyone knows any other way of getting clothing animations in Unreal from Houdini I would be really appreciative. Thank you!

Hey TurnonthePS3,

VAT could be a good solution for that. There is a nice LABS tool for that.

Thanks a lot! I looked into that, it seems perfect but maybe misunderstood something about it. Is there a way to make VAT dynamic in gameplay?

Feels like VAT maybe lends itself to environmental features like flags in the wind and small water or particle effects but I wonder if there is any way to apply it to clothing animations that can deal with blending between character animations. Hope that makes sense.
