Start Curve Attraction for Vellum Hair?

Hi all!

I'm relatively new to Houdini in general, but I've been playing around with Vellum lately for hair simulation on animated characters.

My past hair experience is in Maya XGen, and in XGen there's a sim attribute called "start curve attraction." It's similar to a stiffness parameter, but basically you can tell the hair's guide curves how far they can deviate from their original start or rest position during sim. It can be used to tell the hair to settle back into that original position more slowly or quickly after the animation stops.

Is there a similar parameter for Vellum hair? Right now I have the hair behaving normally during animation, but settling very slowly back to the rest position when the animation stops; it almost looks like it's underwater. I've tried adjusting stiffness and bend parameters and enabling plasticity, to no effect. How do I get it to settle realistically?
