is it possible to save a node-preset in a way that it shows up in a subfolder? just like the Labs presets?
with growing amount of presets i feel a strong need of organizing the presets..

Well, the Labs menu there is giving you a shortcut to execute python scripts which is quite possible. I would need to dive into the houdini folder again to find the file, but there are files like OPmenu.xml and PARMmenu.xml that can be created and loaded via packages for that kind of thing. However, presets are stored in a presets folder with the extension .idx... I am unsure if you could organize them with this built-in system.
Houdini TD, I focus on tools for procedural asset creation.
