Material Changes When Exporting fbx from Houdini to Blender

I've been playing around with importing/exporting between Houdini and Blender, and I've noticed a weird behavior: If I export material data back to blender, some of the values change. For example, metallic goes up to 1.0 even though I did not change it in Houdini. Even if I make no changes in Houdini whatsoever, I get this behavior. For example, the metallic will change if I do the following:

  1. Export an fbx from Blender.
  2. In Houdini, file->import->fbx and tick "Geometry" and "Materials" filters.
  3. Without changing anything, export the entire subnet that was created by the fbx import back out to a new fbx file.

The metallic on the material shows as 0.0 in Houdini, but then when I load up the exported file in Blender, it is 1.0 all of a sudden. Does anyone know what is going on here?
