Arnold materials not rendering

Hello there!

We're having the following issue:
We create Arnold materials and shaders in Maya 2025 with LookdevX directly in USD files.
Rendering these in Houdini with Arnold seems to ignore the materials and shaders. It works with MaterialX materials, but not with simple Arnold materials.

Interestingly enough, if we remove the materials in Houdini with an edit node, then reload the material, and remove the adsk_converter node, that Houdini adds (we don't understand why), the materials work again.

This is both an issue with Houdini 20.0.724 with Htoa-6.3.2.1, and Houdini 20.5.410 with Htoa-6.3.6.0

Any help is appreciated!

Hello again!

Seems like the problem's origin is the adsk_converter node. In Maya, LookdevX creates these nodes automatically, which (so far) seems unavoidable.
Houdini can't recognize these nodes and fails to render correctly.

Did anybody stumble upon this issue, or a solution for it?
