For a job that did not happen, I investigated how to import a .csv file with coordinates of towns and cities and place that data onto a sphere via VEX as dots.
Test-data from here: https://www.maxmind.com/en/free-world-cities-database
Original rendering 15000 x 15000 px in Mantra.
