The brief was to create elegant, flowy particles that feel like silk drifting through the air which inspired me to dive deeper into various ways of creating custom velocity fields from Vellum Cloth simulations. As I wanted to ensure the particles had a smooth, organic aesthetic, I needed a way to guide their motion as precisely as possible and ended up writing a short VEX script to help with that.
