I love the new LiveRender node, great workflow improvement! Before I put in some RFEs I'd like to float a few things.



When using 2 LiveRender nodes I was sort of expecting/hoping it to work as multiple clone renders, where one torus would show with a red material in the gallery and the other would look grey. I can sort of guess why this wouldn't work but maybe it can be made to work like this? If there is a technical obstacle that prevents it from working at all maybe it could work a bit more smart by auto stopping/starting other active live renders depending on the current one selected in the gallery. Now it just flickers between outputs before settling for one or the other with unexpected results.

Also starting/stopping a live render generates a new snapshot each time, which sort of makes a mess in the bottom row of the gallery after working for some time. Maybe a 'pause' button for the live renders would help here? And/or piggyback it to the 'pause render updates' viewport toolbar button. I guess workflow wise one wants to pause the render when doing some complex modifications during which you don't want any render updates so a global pause button would makes sense.

And last, what about a 'RenderClone' node that works like the LiveRender node but sets up a render clone? That would make it a bit easier to manage compared to setting up things manually though the clone manager.

That _should_ work, and _did_ work at some point in the past, so this is definitely a regression (that I can reproduce). Thank you for bringing it to our attention, we'll sort it out.

For the rest, we have RFEs for some of these thoughts, but it's better to have duplicates than miss something, so please flood us with your suggestions (one RFE per, no mega-RFE please) and we'll merge with existing ones as necessary.

The issue with the multiple active renders not being different is fixed in 21.0.461 ... thanks again for flagging it!
