Hello everybody,
I just upgraded to H18 indie, congrats in going Gold, what a release!

I'm migrating all my OTLs from 17.5 to 18 and noticed that every OTL's Help/documentation
do not load images at all while the node icon and UI icon actually work.

I am using this sintax to refer to the image I want to load in the Help:

I also noticed that if I right click on the Help missing image icon and copy the address, I get something crazy like:

Instead of something like:

Also, if I try to upload a new image to the ExtraFile section and use it in the help, still no luck.
Are there any change to how the help work and how to access the Embedded files?

To be sure I was not making any mistakes, I did try to download the latest build of 17.5 (452)
and the problem exist there too.

everything was working well in 17.5.372

I am having the exact same problem

The icon won't show up in the Help Page, while it correctly displays on the node

the syntax suggested in the official guidelines won't work.
#icon: opdef:.?my_icon.svg

neither if just copy the path to my icon from the basic section of the operator type window.
#icon: opdef:/Sop/fast_remesh::1.3?my_icon.svg

It’s an old thread but I solved creating my icons with a proper svg editor. Since this thread I have been using inkspace witch is free and never looked back.

I created my icon with Inkspace too, uploaded it to the Extra Files section of my HDA, but can't manage to display it in the help page.
What is the syntax you use in the help section to show the icon?

Yes, I’m sorry can’t be of any more help.
Perhaps you can try to download this HDA of mine and see if you spot anything that can help solve this:
FLAM3 For Houdini [alexnardini.net]
( assuming it’s help/documentation is showing the icons properly on your computer, it work over here )

out of curiosity I did try the HDA on my second workstation and it work just fine.
I have a Houdini Indie license if that matter at all.

It definitely seems that's some issue on my machine/system, and nothing to do with your hda.

I haven't fixed so far, but looks like the icon should play fine on most systems.
Except ours apparently, eheh

On another computer I have another 18.5 indie version but this one NOT python 3 build and all is running fine here.
But if your not in python 3 build problem don't come from here but from our system/config as you said.
