In this video, we discuss the three key constructs in PDG, how the PDG graph fundamentally works at a technical level, how to perform basic customizations and additions on top of the PDG platform, the basics of how PDG interacts with existing schedulers on the market, and end with some tips for common pitfalls.

how can masterclasses on these new features come out so fast and rigging about capturing(skin binding) masterclasses that iv'e been hearing about for years cant be released? I understand that huge studios are priority and most of them want to hear about these things first but damn its been about a year or two since iv'e heard that more rigging masterclasses are on the way and it took about a year to fully release the current one. Great masterclass though, just saying rigging and animation masterclasses would be great.

You are right, rigging and animation don't get priority like other area in pipeline.

Dang, that video did not really offer much to demystify, or demonstrate how I would use PDG to make art. After watching this demonstration, I still don't see any point in using PDG.

For instance, PakWak's thumbnail, that you lured us in with. What part of that image is PDG? Did he used PDG to greeble the geometry? Was PDG used to make the clouds?

Can SideFX post some really "WOW" eye candy that is only possible using PDG?

Yeah, this video is more about the "core concepts to help you effectively use PDG". It doesn't try to sell the concept. For the why, I'd refer you to the 17.5 launch presentation. We'll also have some more tutorials and demonstrations upcoming on that topic in the near future.

Thank you so much for these videos, wish we had more of them! Exactly the density of information I wanted but couldn't quite understand from just reading the docs. Much appreciated.
