Argh that is super frustrating…. sigh. I suppose I'll have to find someone with a full license I am not even sure we have full licenses at school (SCAD)

I'm trying to export a scene I built in Houdini with procedural expression driven animations (some gears) with the goal of importing the scene into Maya to light it, but when I create an Alembic ROP and try to test render it errors saying “Alembic export is only supported in Houdini and Houdini FX versions”

That's kind of ridiculous if you ask me… any way around this? I have a lifetime license of Houdini FX HD Non-Commercial.
