Thanks a lot SYmek for the in-depth replies and links, I had managed to miss the FAQ in my search (which is kind of embarrassing as it's clearly visible in the Support link). And I confess, I actually have been lurking… :shock:

By the way, it is not true that I am a lurker. I have never lurked in my entire life, nor will I ever lurk. The description under my name is plain gossip and straight out slander and once I get a hold of the guy who started it I will tell him flat out that he is on a very slippery slope assuming such things about me.

If I create projects with Houdini Apprentice HD and then later buy the full version of Houdini, can then my old Apprentice project files be opened by the full version?

Also, is the license to Apprentice HD (and the full version of Houdini) allowing me to switch between OS X and Windows and a desktop and laptop computer? I move around a lot…
