Importing Curves to Guide Groom Oct. 19, 2020, 5:59 p.m.
Hello everybody,
I'm trying to use imported edges/curves as guides in Houdini, but something doesn't looks right. This is what I did:
- Exported the edges/curves from Blender
- Created a Guide Groom node in Houdini
- In the Guide Creation, I selected the .OBJ that I imported from Blender
After that, I did A LOT of tests but the guides do not work well.
I want to use those imported Guides as start points to Comb and add Guide Process (frizz, bend, etc).
Also, when I apply the Hair Generator node, the strands do not follow the real length of the imported guides, I don't know why this is happening.
If I use the Resample Checkbox, the guides start to have better shape with the Guide Process, but all the vertex get disconnected.
If there is something that i'm missing pls let me know, also if there is another workflow to import guides inside Houdini and use them to grooming, i'd love to know.
Thanks!
