crowd characters don't show in the scene view March 31, 2015, 1:33 p.m.
Thanks for the idea! It ended up being an Nvidia driver that needed an update. Didn't think that could have been it because everything else was looking / working fine. Works great now.

Hi, I'm very new to Houdini, so I don't really have any idea how to troubleshoot this…
When I do the (very straightforward) crowd tools tutorials from the Houdini website, and I click on populate with the default character and a ground plane, the crowd agents don't show up in my scene view – their little blue circles show up in their place and move accordingly, but no geometry. In a render view, they will render, and their bones show up when I select the right node (crowdsource I think?), but no geometry for the agents in the scene view. The default character's geo is there, and even shaded, but none of the others.
I am working on a laptop (HP EliteBook), and I get the feeling it may have something to do with some graphics settings/limitations or something? But I don't know. I have verified that the same exact process works just fine on a workstation at my school, and I was even able to get it to work on another, much smaller and slower laptop.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them. I can't progress without the visual feedback of the characters' movements, and I just can't see them!!!!
Thanks.
