I didn't dig in the dynamics section, still at the basics RBD dynamics. It seams that yes, slices are used for volumetrics (smoke, fire, etc). Actually, each paragraph of this doc is specific to a certain type of simulation. What do you want to vizualize in your dynamic simulation exactly ?

Still playing with houdini, trying to make a wing (I'm very new to 3d and drawing) . As you can see in the attached file, the desing has very repetitive operations, as shown by the rows/columns with the same exact chain of operations applied to a collection of items. What I would like to do is to merge the collections (merge node ?) and then apply the operations “for each merge input”. Is there a way to retrieve the nth object of a merge node ?
