In this tutorial, you'll learn how to create a fully procedural cinematic environment in Houdini, using a structured workflow that mirrors real-world production techniques. We’ll cover modeling complex geometry with control over intersections and topology, building reusable tools with HDAs, and managing large amounts of detail efficiently. You'll also explore ways to scatter vegetation, generate assets with layers of complexity, and use simulations to solve intersection and layout challenges.

We'll dive into working with USD for scene organization and instancing, render our environment using Karma with attention to cinematic lighting and camera work, and finalize the output in Nuke with compositing techniques that help bring the scene to life. The course is structured in 11 chapters, with short episodes inside each chapter so it's easy to follow, revisit, and apply to your own Houdini projects. Whether you're an FX artist, an environment artist, or looking to deepen your procedural modeling skills, this lesson will help expand your creative and technical toolset.
