Houdini Nodes Tutorial Part 1: Attribute Nodes

This tutorial is a bit different to what we usually do. In this tutorial, we aren't recreating an effect but rather, we go over some of Houdini's many nodes. This is mostly intended for beginners. Houdini's nodes can be intimidating due to the sheer volume of nodes. However, in this tutorial we go over them and explain them. This is part 1 and we are going over Attribute Nodes. In our blog-post we go over how to create the morphing sphere that is seen in the intro.

That is a great tutorial, this kind of tutorials I miss as part of official documentation .
There are many nodes in Houdini and get to know how to use them is crucial but even more important is when to use them and what you can get out of them. Your tutorial shows a piece of that aspect.
I'd be glad to see more nodes explained with some practical examples of usage.
I really appreciate your work and looking for more. Thanks

Hey McKormick, thanks for watching. I figured that its quite intimidating when starting out to know which nodes to use and when. Even with experienced users, a simple node workaround is often missed because they just weren't aware of such a node when starting out. I'm glad you found this tutorial useful. The feedback has been good and I'll likely be doing a part 2 in the near future.
