Thank you Moritz, once again, your part in making Houdini more accessible can not be valued high enough.
And thanks to SideFX Solaris seems to be becoming a valid option for small studios like me, where creating complex USD setups just to use Karma were more of an unnecessary overhead.
I would love to see Karma(XPU) as a render region though. I like working directly in the viewport.
